About the Arboretum

Keele University is set in 640 acres of woodland and landscaped gardens with 8 lakes connected by streams. It has over 150 different trees plus a national collection of flowering cherries (240+). As well there is a good variety of birds, plants, insects etc. All this is documented on our website : http://www.keele.ac.uk/arboretum. There you will find lots of photos, interactive maps telling you what is growing where plus two virtual nature trails. The grounds are open to visitors at any time but parking is difficult during the working week and there is a charge - it is free at week-ends. A leaflet and map of the walks is available from 24hr reception and the Chancellor's Building. Enjoy!
